Greetings From Your Webmaster

Well a lot has taken place since my last update. We had a meeting where wrapping of presents for the boys at the Settlement took place and then on the following Saturday they were delivered to them. I hate that I haven't been involved but due to sickness and work, but my hands has been tied. But I am so proud to be part of this ministry here. God has sent us, truly some of the most dedicated hard working Christians there are! I pray that the work that has been started will be continued and we can see soul won to the Lord.
Now for some more good news. I have heard from our State Webmaster Walt McNeely and we are in the process of getting our CMA website up and running. I want to thank our State Coordinator David Hall and our East Central Representative Clint Davis and State Webmaster Walt McNeely for all their help for helping us get Forming Chapter status.
My prayer is for each and everyone have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. I want each and everyone of the Chrome Knights for Christ to know how much I think of each one of them. We are Brothers and Sisters in Christ! My prayer is also for each and everyone to have a great New Year! Look forward to what we will accomplish in 2010 with God's help.

Your Brother in Christ,

New Christmas Poem

This was sent to me from Ricky Bass with The Forgiven Christian Rider out of North Carolina. It was sent to him by a Marine.

New Christmas Poem

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE
CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE
MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE
CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY THE MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND.
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS.
A SOBER THOUGHT CAME
THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY.
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONG.
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SON GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER.
NOT HOW I PICTURED A
UNITED STATES SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO OF
WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE
SOLDIERS,
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD
CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEARS,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
SANTA DON'T CRY.
THIS IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE.
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS.

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP.
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S
CHILL.

I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED "CARRY ON SANTA,
ITS CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND!
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.

This poem was written by a Marine, We need to remember of service men and women during the Holidays. God bless each and everyone of them. May God's hand of protection be upon them and bring them safely home should be our prayer.

Thoughts from our Chaplain

Come as a Child!

Children are wonderful...and grandchildren are more wonderful......
Come with me, back in time, to our own "little kid" days. We remember the excitement, the suspense, the guessing games, the wonder and joy...the love of Christmas....

For seen through the eyes of a child, it is pure wonder and joy as a young child catches their first glimpse of Christmas lights, they can see presents they can open, carols they can "sing", not to mention the cookies they can taste!

Can WE, as adults come as children to the Christ of Christmas? No, not to the manger, but to the Cross and to the Empty Tomb of our Saviour and Risen Lord.Come as a child today, eager to learn, eager to live, eager to love. You see, HE is the Master Teacher, the Author of Joy, the Giver of Life and the Lord of Love, and He awaits our worship this day.

"O COME, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!"

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

Birthdays and Anniversaries Reminder

Please make sure that you have given me you and your spouses birthdays and also your anniversary date to me. Starting January 2010 we will be posting birthdays and anniversaries each month. This way we all get to know who is getting older (or younger) and celebrating an anniversary. I understand that some people stops counting at 29 and starts celebrating an anniversary of that 29th birthday! Merry Christmas and God bless!

First Weekend Behind Us!

Well if my memory serves me right, I believe we had ten or eleven bikes to ride in the parade this year. Which was better than last year! Unfortunately I had to depart early due to my bike overheating. One little 10 amp fuse was the culprit. Still I think we showed our colors and represented CMA and Chrome Knights for Christ in a positive light. But most of all we showed the City of Andalusia that WE STOOD UP FOR CHRIST JESUS! And that was the most important thing that we could ever do! We need to let our light shine for Jesus Christ everyday that we can.
The ride for Saturday was called off mainly to the weather. This also gave us Crimson Tide fans an opportunity to witness a wonderful, delightful, exceptional victory over them ole Florida Gators! There will always be a next time that we can ride in those parades.
I haven't heard how things went Sunday, but I hope everything went good. I look forward to hearing all about it at the next meeting.
And speaking of the next meeting. I got a email from Gaylen this morning concerning it. The next meeting will be December 15th at 6:30 p.m. Gaylen wants to start early where we can have a short meeting and then wrap the gifts for the boys at The Settlement. (Please don't ask me to cut the paper, cause there is no way I can cut a straight line if my life depended upon it.)
Faye is going to invite the Forgiven Child of God group. Please bring wrapping supplies with you such as wrapping paper, tape, scissors, and bows. Plan to bring your donation that you would like to give toward the gifts for the boys. Faye has done the shopping and purchased the gifts from the boys wish list. THANK YOU Faye and Ray for all the hard work you put into this!
Allan would like to ask everyone to bring something to eat such as cookies or finger foods.
God bless,
Gaylen & Linda

Don't forget now 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night December 15th!
