Next Meeting February 2

Don't forget that our next meeting will be February 2nd at Covington Electric Coop at 7:00 p.m. Remember that we now meet on the 1st Tuesday night and then on the 3rd Saturday. Several of our members will be leaving tomorrow travelling to Prattville to the Seasons of Refreshing for a great time of worship and fellowship. I trust everyone that can go will do some. Unfortunately I have got to work, but I will be thinking of everyone and praying for a safe trip!
The only one that is having a birthday for February is Linda Griggers on February 18th. Be sure to wish Miss Linda a Happy Birthday when you see her. As for the anniversaries this month we just have one and it is Bro. Ron and Dutch Garland on the 14th. Let's all be sure to wish Bro. Ron and Miss Dutch a happy anniversary!
We have started the ball rolling on getting the "Chrome Knights for Christ" from a forming group to having it chartered group. We must continue to work hard and continue to hold our local leadership, state leadership, and also our national leadership up in prayer. Don't forget that you can still send your prayer request to our email address chromeknight@alaweb.com and we will get the word our to everyone to join you in prayer about the situation. Till next time! God bless!

Just a few updates!

Our church visitation for February 7th has been changed from Grace Fellowship to Harmony Baptist Church (Shorty's church). We were unable to get anyone from Grace Fellowship to respond to our request to visit their church. Sunday School starts at 9:15 a.m. with church services beginning at 10:00 a.m. We can discuss at our February 2nd meeting the details such as meeting location and directions to the church.
Just a reminder that we are now just having one meeting on the 1st Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is February 2nd at Covington Electric Coop at 7:00 p.m.
Our Bible study/ride will be the 3rd Saturday of each month. Our next one is scheduled for February 20.
I have posted all the events that we have schedule for 2010 on the "Event" on our CMA website. If you will go to our CMA website and save it as one of your favorites it will always be easy to access. I will put reminders of things coming up short term but anything long term that you might want to know about go to the CMA website "Events" page and you can check it out.
Remember that "Seasons of Refreshing" is January 29th and 30th. Everyone that can try and make plans on going. As of right now, work is going to keep me from going. But I'm trusting that our good photographer and (reporter) will bring me up to date on what went on. God bless!

Getting the Ball Rolling for 2010

Well here we are starting a new year. The year 2009 is behind us and now starting out 2010. We had a meeting on January 5th and then had the Officers Meeting at Prattville on January 9th. Great things came out of both of the meetings. On the first meeting, we had our photographer Vickie Oakley to make the pictures for our officers that we would place on our CMA website. It is so good to have a professional in our mist! We really owe a debt to Vickie for the hard work that she puts into supplying me with photos of different events that can be put on our blog and our CMA website. There was other things discuss during that meeting including dropping the 3rd Tuesday meeting to meeting on that 3rd Saturday for a Bible study, then eat and ride or ride and then eat. Studying the Word of God together will be a blessing for all of us. There was also so things added to the events coming up in the near future. There will be no 3rd Saturday meeting this month due to Seasons of Refreshing coming up on January 29th and 30th. I want to encourage everyone to make plans on attending this.
The State Officers Meeting in Prattville on January 9th was really great. All that attended this I think was well please with all that went on. I tip my hat to David and Emily Hall for the hard work that they put into that meeting. And also Clint and Sandy Davis representing our section done a great job too. I was really shocked by how many people that was there. As you know it was a bitterly COLD day but that didn't discourage people from being there. After lunch we broke out into individual groups to meet and learn more about what we could do to improve our job with the position we held. Those making the trip that day was Gaylen & Linda Grigger, Danny & Vickie Oakley, Ray Kyle, Wesley Devane, David "Shorty" Short and myself.
We need to continue to pray that God will lead us and guide us in the direction that we can go to do the best for Him. Chester Holyfield made a statement that day at the meeting and I thought it was so true. Every time we ride our bike, we need that vest on with the CMA patch on the back where we can let people know who we ride for. Let people know that their is a CMA forming chapter here in Andalusia, Elba, Opp,Coffee Covington County, and everywhere we go. The door will be open and we will have a chance to witness and testify about our Lord and Saviour. God bless!
