Urgent Prayer Request

I received word from our Chaplain, Vickie Oakley yesterday, that Allan Cory and his wife Marian was in a serious traffic accident Monday. She was told that Allan is in Montgomery at Baptist South hospital in critical condition and he is on a ventilator and Marian is in Dothan and has serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery. We ask that everyone please hold them up in prayer. To repeat what our Chaplain said in her email, "Let us pray one for another, be fervent in your prayers, and pray without ceasing.(James 5:13-16)"
We served a risen Savior that took the stripes on His back for our healing. So please, please be praying for Allan and Marian, also there extended family too. God bless!

A Little Christmas History

Let's remember that Jesus is the reason for this season!

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” Luke 1:31

A candy maker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would help us remember who Christmas is really about. So he made a Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ. He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the virgin birth and sinless nature of Jesus. Hard candy to symbolize the solid rock, the foundation of the Church, and firmness of the promises of God. The candy maker made the candy in the form of a “J” to represent the name of Jesus. It also represented the staff of the “Good Shepherd”. The candy maker then included red stripes. He used three small stripes and a large red stripe to represent the suffering Christ endured at the end of his life. The candy became known as a Candy Cane – a decoration seen at Christmas time. The meaning has faded, but still gives joy to children young and old, whom Jesus loves and treasures.

I trust that everyone will have a safe and blessed Christmas and a very wonderful and prosperous New Year!

December Monthly Meeting

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had plenty to eat and a great time with family and friends., but it's time for our monthly meeting and it will be at Danny & Vickie Oakley's home which is located at 13080 US Hwy 29 South. The meeting will be at 3:00 p.m. and the party afterwards. Our CMA State Coordinator David and Emily Hall are hoping to be there. Danny and Vickie are supplying the chicken salad sandwiches and some other goodies, but ask that each one of us bring a goodie, snack, sandwich, your beverage of choice , etc. as well, especially if you would like a desert. So please everyone that can please be present and bring your special someone.

Its hard to believe this year is almost complete and that the year 2012 is about to start. I look forward to the next year to see what we can do to reach "one heart at a time" for Jesus. As our chaplain said at the last meeting, we really need to be in prayer for our chapter. God has brought us together for a purpose. We must be willing to fulfill the purpose that God has for each member of this chapter. Let's work hard to keep the Chrome Knights for Christ Motorcycle Ministry moving forward today! God bless!
